Do you work with XL Bullies?
We definitely do! After the Bully ban we had to change our insurance provider so that we could continue to work with these dogs. We judge a dog on their character, NOT their breed!
Do I need to be at home for you to collect my dog?
We tailor our service to be as convenient for you as possible. If you’d like to be at home when we pick-up and drop-off your dog, that is fine. If you want to leave a set of keys with us, that's no problem at all, all keys are given a unique code so they can’t be traced back to our clients’ homes. Some clients prefer to have a key safe fitted.
How can I trust the dog walker?
You will meet your dog walker in your consultation. Your walker will have a basic DBS check.
My dog loves mud, will they come back dirty?
Our walks include a rinse and dry service, so that every dog who loves to run, jump and roll in mud will be rinsed off and towel dried, so that they come home in the same condition they left.
Will my dog walker change, or will it be the same person?
Your dog will always have the same walker, this is so that a level of trust can be shared between the dog and walker.
How long are the walks?
We have two walks available: a 30 minute walk or a 1 hour walk (these can be group or solo walks).
What days and times can I book my dog in for their walk?
Our walks are available every weekday 8:00 - 16:00. Depending on the length of time you book your dog in for, we offer 30 min or 1 hour time slots.
Do you walk my dog on or off lead?
We tailor your dog’s walk to their needs and your preferences. In your consultation we will discuss how you’d like your dog to be walked.
Where will you walk my dog?
We walk in a number of quiet spots on the british countryside, this allows your dog to explore new sights and smells with their friends.
What will you use to transport my dog?
We will transport your dog in a car. We have doggy seat belts that clip to your pup's harness, as well as boot and back seat separators.
How many dogs will be in a group walk?
We always follow the rules of the local council, in Hampshire it’s a maximum of 6 dogs per person. However, we also consider many factors such as temperaments, location of walks and pace of walk. This will be discussed in your consultation so we can tailor it to your dog.
My dog is reactive to other dogs, will you still be able to walk them?
Of course! We recognise your dogs need to be walked alone. We offer solo walks as well as group ones.
Are you insured?
Yes. Proof of insurance will be provided at your consultation.
What should I do if I need to cancel?
Feel free to send me a quick message to let me know of any changes. It would be appreciated if you could please give at least 48 hours notice of any cancellations. If you fail to provide the 48 hours notice you will still be charged in full.
My dog has not been spayed/neutered, can they still be walked?
No worries at all! we walk all kinds of dogs.
Do you walk dogs in season?
We cannot walk a dog in season. If your dog is found to be in season they will be immediately returned home (for their own safety). I will not be able to continue walking them again until their season has fully ended. Alternatively, i am happy to provide garden breaks & home visits in the meantime.
Do you work bank holidays?
Yes.
I only require occasional walks for my dog, not every week/day, can you help?
Yes. were happy to provide the services you require assuming we have availability.
My dog can be aggressive to other dogs/people and wears a muzzle in public, can you still walk them?
Yes, we're perfectly happy to walk such a dog. As long as the walker met the dog in the consultation and they were not aggressive towards them, we would offer solo walks in this instance.
What does your dog sitting service entail?
Yes, we offer pet sitting service. This costs £40 per day and includes walks. You will meet your pet sitter in your consultation where you will be able to discuss your expectations to make sure we can accomodate them. Your pet sitter will stay in your house while you are away and look after your pet in the way you normally would. They will follow your usual daily routine to insure your pet remains as comfortable as possible while you're away. Following your routine will help to reduce stress for your pet.
Can dogs stay with you?
We currently do not have the facilities to accommodate this, however we hope to offer this service in the future.
Do your services cater for all dog breeds?
Yes , we take each dog on its own merit and not on the reputation of particular breeds. We meet all dogs in the initial consultation before walking them. All new dogs are subject to a trial period. Any instances of aggressive behaviour will be investigated and we reserve the right to refuse to walk any dog.
